(One of yer uncle’s all time favorite cartoon characters! Actually, I became a fan of Dennis before I could even read, thanks to Jay North and the TV show! Later on I read the comic books, and his comic strips in the funny pages. I’m pretty sure there was also an animated series. I could easily relate to his all-American boy image, with his cowlick and freckles. And his slingshot poking out of his back pocket of his overalls. He often had a frog in his front pocket, ever ready to pull it out to shove it in fussy Margaret’s face! I even had nextdoor neighbors like the Wilsons. I don’t THINK I was ever as naughty/annoying as Dennis was to them. But . . . they DID move away. Hmm. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
