Clue/Question:  The deck used by the poker players was old.  They all agreed it should be – – –

Answer:  DISCARDED

(That’s a good, stinky pun.  A real groaner.  I wonder what’s the average life span of a deck of cards?!  I guess it depends on the number of hands played, and how good the shufflers are.  Some folks are brutal shufflers.  And, probably moisture from beers and sodas, and grease from chips and peanuts play a factor in how long a deck is usable.

No new clue words today.  Three of the jumbles came up as new, with “spirct” having definitely been used before.  It took me a couple of looks before I saw “script”, so I guess it’s a pretty good jumble.  The answer letter layout was another fine nine letter jumble.  I guess all the D’s clued me into the answer.

It was fun seeing the players wearing their favorite team sweatshirts, tees, and jerseys.  I hadn’t noticed before that Jeff had a female player in his group.  Attaboy, Jeff!  Who’s the Franco Harris fan?  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
