My imagination can picture no fairer happiness than to continue living for art.”   —   Clara Schumann

(Possibly said soon after the death of her husband, Robert Schumann.  What a remarkable and talented couple they were.  He, an accomplished composer, and she an accomplished pianist and composer, from the Romantic era.  The story of their lives is filled with such romance and drama that I thought it would make for a great movie.  As it turns out, someone in the 1940s had the same – great – idea, and did make it into a movie, starring Katharine Hepburn, called Song of Love.  It was released in 1947.  I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it, but it looks like a great film with a great cast.  Obviously, Kate plays Clara.  Paul Henreid plays Robert Schumann.  You movie buffs would remember him as Victor Laszlo, in Casablanca.  The film also stars Robert Walker and Leo G. Carroll.  I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s shown on Turner Classic Movies, from time to time.  Who knows?  Maybe it’s even available On Demand.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
