Jumble Solved – 09/07/22

Answer:  SKY–HIGH PRICES

(I always wondered why some people with money spend it so frivolously.  A $50.00 Timex is going to tell you the same time as a $6,500.00 Rolex – low end for each brand – and nobody is liable to mug you for the Timex.  Women’s handbags are another item that boggles the mind.  Craftsmanship and trendy name aside, is a designer handbag really worth THAT much more than the more generic pocketbook?  And, half a Mil, or more, for an automobile???  But a first class seat is such a transient luxury.  I’m seeing business class going for about 4 times what coach costs, and first class can be 10-15 times more than coach!  Pretty crazy, folks.

Of course we’ve seen all of today’s clue words before.  Two of the jumbles appear to be new, but we’ve definitely seen both “cgeok” and “scaweh” in earlier Jumbles.  The answer letter layout was a thorough thirteen letter jumble.  Marvelously cryptic!  The combination of the cartoon’s dialog, the clue/question, and the hyphen in the final answer slots made for a quick solve.

Fun cartoon of the class division in an airline.  One flight attendant is serving a lounging first class passenger some champagne, and the closer attendant is shushing the passengers in coach!  Maybe he’s saying:  Stop complaining that you can’t feel your legs!  LOL!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
