Charles Kuralt | Great Thoughts Treasury

The everyday kindness of the back roads more than makes up for the acts of greed in the headlines.”   —   Charles Kuralt

(Charles Kuralt was an American original.  I was a huge fan of his “On The Road” segments during the 1970s.  And, I became an instant fan when he became the original – and the best – host of the “CBS Sunday Morning” show.  The most entertaining and educational show to ever air on television, in my opinion.  He had a fantastic voice, and he just came off as the most regular guy you’d ever want to meet.  Sadly, he retired relatively young, and then died at the age of 62.  I miss those days.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Dear sweet man.  If he had survived to this day he’d be very sad to see that that tipping point has swung the other way.  But, that being said, it is still better to search for and see the good in people . . . and in this world.) —   YUR
