Answer:  TO A DEGREE

(Just this Saturday he was telling me it got up to 113° during the afternoon.  Similar crazy hot temps where my aunt lives in Hemet, CA.  I told him, I know it’s a “dry heat” . . . but that is just too damn hot!  It seems to be hot all over the U.S. this summer.  We’ve had a slew of 90+° days this summer, but ours come with the added bonus of high humidity!  Gives you a “feels like” temp of 100° or more.  So, our old A/C unit has been working overtime this year.  Aren’t you all so glad that man-made Global Warming is just a hoax?!?!  Fortunately, the temps have come down the last few days, and the humidity . . . to a degree!

I think Hoyt, and his Dad, have run out of new Jumble clue words.  It’s been quite a while since we’ve been graced by one.  Three of today’s jumbles appear to be new.  We’ve definitely seen “someo” before.  I had to back into “gyrate” today!  That “gtarye” was a great sneaky jumble!  The answer letter layout was a fine nine letter jumble.  The final answer letter slots allowed me to get the answer with just six letters.

Funny kind of cartoon.  Such a high-end looking, wall mounted, probably “smart”, HDTV.  But, such a basic little oscillating fan!  This couple should spring for a portable a/c unit.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
