Pre-Answer: Four Words (9-letters) (4-letters) HIS (4-letters)
Answer: BREATHING DOWN HIS NECK
(A super ambitious pun! Really big-time! Seventeen letter answers are really up there. This is elevating the Jumble to new heights! Too much high praise? Okay, okay. Maybe that was a bit of a stretch. I’ll bring it down a few rungs.
All of today’s clue words are already eminent members of the ralis95 clue word database. However, five of the jumbles appear to be new, with only “tniket” having definitely been used before. The answer letter layout was truly a high-minded jumble. It was wonderfully cryptic, and I don’t think it gave one thing away.
Hilarious cartoon! Not sure about the youngish employee. To me, he just looks like a bit of a malcontent. With his “Work on Resumé” post-it on his cubicle wall. But of course, we’re lacking context. The boss definitely reminded me of Bill Lumbergh, the Gary Cole character in the movie “Office Space”. I’ve never had the opportunity to see this movie all the way through, but I hear it’s great! A comedy cult classic! The company being one that sells ladders was definitely a nice touch. Fantastic Sunday Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
