Answer: DUCKS IN A ROW
(A wonderfully stinky pun, to end the work week! Somewhat of a challenge. To stoop, to bend, to crouch, to hunch down. Those are the less conventional ways to say to duck! But, when something is about to smack you in the head, what do people usually yell? DUCK!!!
There are no new clue words today, however all the jumbles appear to be new. Of course, I saw “lunacy” immediately! For some reason, I saw inlaid before I saw “inland”. But, when I filled in the squares I wrote inlang! Where that G came from . . . I don’t know. None of the words contain a G! Maybe the suicides of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain are affecting me. Life can be so confusing sometimes. Why them? They seemingly had everything. Did they know something we don’t? My life is a whole lot more uncertain than theirs were, but I still want to live. Damn! What a waste. Hug your kids, and tell all your loved ones that you love them. In life you just never know. And, a simple token of affection could make all the difference in the world to someone who is struggling with life’s hardships. Okay. End of sermon.
Great cartoon, as usual. It could be a group of scouts, or summer campers, or even a class trip. I like the looks of apprehension on the kids faces. Hey! Caves can be more than a little scary. Bats and bears, and spiders and such! Then, there’s that whole thing of being below ground, and the fear of being buried alive! Big ones are one thing, but the ones you have to crawl around in are quite another. No wonder these kids are filled with trepidation. Fun Friday Jumble! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
