(“Recover” is kind of a harsh word, here.  I’m sure almost everyone, including yur’s truly, has a few negative aspects of their childhood that have stayed with them – and possibly held them back, to an extent – throughout their lives.  But, I think the positive things resonate more in our consciousness.)   — YUR
