Clue/Question: The 104 satellites launched by India on a single rocket would get – – –
Answer: SPACED OUT
(I’m sure our Indian readers – and general space geeks – already knew this, but this actually happened in February of 2017! They broke the Russian’s record of 37 satellites on a single rocket, back in June of 2014. I can’t remember if I ever heard of it, or not. We are constantly inundated with stories of: investigations, and scandals, and domestic shootings, and international atrocities, that I just might have missed this story. Or, it was a here today, gone tomorrow kind of story. Maybe Anthony Weiner did another massively stupid thing the next day??? Whatever. The Indians currently hold the record.
No new clue words today. Maybe Hoyt is getting to the end of his list! Three of the jumbles appear to be new, with only “ldaas” having definitely been used before. The answer letter layout was a nice nine letter jumble. It disguised the final answer very well.
Fine cartoon of a couple of Indian gentlemen at their launch site. Must be big-wigs! Apparently it is the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. Sriharikota is a barrier island in the Bay of Bengal. I wonder if it’s a popular tourist attraction, like Kennedy Space Center in Florida, or the Johnson Space Center in Houston. No doubt. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
