Answer:  “KNIGHT“ AFTER “KNIGHT“

(A stout, heraldic pun!  Full of blazonry and cockatrice.  Or, some crap like that.  Hey!  We are new-clue-word-free today, as we’ve seen all these clue words before.  Four of the jumbles appear to be new, with “tinket” and “tutelo” having definitely been used before.

Hoyt’s answer letter layout was an impressive seventeen letters long, and nicely cryptic.  From left to right, nothing jumps out at you.

The cartoon is a Knurek classic!  With a crusty barkeep, a scullery maid, and four gents right out of “Monty Python and The Holy Grail”.  I liked the torch sconce, and the dartboard with knives in it.  The limbless torso of the Black Knight sitting on the stool was a nice touch.  So glad to see that the boys have made up!  I believe that the barkeep is wiping down the Grail, so perhaps our heroes’ quest is complete.  Do you think they’re drinking ale, or mead?  “Monty Python and The Holy Grail” is one of a handful of movies that made me laugh so hard that I cried.  I love movies like that.  They are so cathartic.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
