“An economist is a guy with a Phi Betta Kappa key on one end of his watch chain and no watch on the other.” — Alben Barkley
(This one definitely took some thought. Funny quote by the way! Even though the “L” certainly looked like it was going to be the “A”, there aren’t a whole lot of words in English that end in “A”. Probably, even less end in “I”. So, the Greek took some catching up to. Also, in my newspaper, the word WAT-CH starts out on line two and continues on line three! Not too common. And, we have another unusual “A” name for the author! I can’t say as I’ve ever met an Alben. But, he was a Governor oops! meant to say Senator of Kentucky and Veep under Harry Truman. Apparently the name means “white”, so I’m sure someone will find a way to make a stink over this guy. Hey, he was governor during segregationism! Kentucky better guard that bronze sculpture of him! Don’t tear down, folks. Just build up. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
