Man Reading Newspaper Art - Fine Art America

Answer:  FLIPPED FOR IT

(Hey!  Donald Trump just admitted that he lost the 2020 election . . . fair and square!  APRIL FOOL!  I don’t think the man is capable of telling the truth.  And, what’s that they say about repeating a lie?  Oh, yeah.  “If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself.”  —  Joseph Goebbels.  He also said:  “A lie told once remains a lie but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth.”  At least with impressionable folks it does.  Folks who exercise critical thought can’t be fooled though.  No one is above the law is one of the sustaining tenets of American democracy.  Without the Rule of Law we risk falling into anarchy.  So, let’s let the legal process play itself out.  There’s no need to blow a nut over this indictment.  America was great before he came along, and it’s been great since he was defeated, and it will still be great in the future . . . provided we get past all this divisiveness.

All four clue words are on the ralis95 clue word database.  Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, but we’ve definitely seen “gtliph” in a previous Jumble.  None of them tripped me up today.  The answer letter layout was a twisty twelve letter jumble, but the final answer came to me immediately.

Great cartoon of a middle-aged couple greeting the morning, in their kitchen.  Mom has her cup of coffee, and Dad is busy checking out the funny pages, while Fido looks on.  Today Mom does not look stern!  Maybe it’s because she is drinking from her I Jumble mug!  And, I’d be happier myself if I didn’t have to print out these puzzles from the online newspaper!  No Saturday home delivery is SO lame.  Fun Jumble.  Don’t be fooled today, folks!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

YUR, I would appreciate it if you would keep your very biased and ill informed political comments to yourself, or at least leave them out of this service. It is very obvious that you only watch CNN and other left wing news broadcasts, as well as read the same newspapers for your information. You really need to check out the other side of the news to make your an intelligent observation. If you hear a lie once you can ignore it, but if you hear a lie a thousand times you will believe it. That’s you!

Happy wife, happy life! 😃. Jeff has finally illustrated a joyous female! 👩. Was this an April Fools joke? Did he hear your observation? 👀 I really think he did because this one is truly different than most if his cartoons as of late. 🤷🏻‍♂️ As we all know, nothing is worse than a woman 👩 scorned!

Speaking of scorned women, the witches 🧙 over there 👉 put 11 spells 🪄 on us, only 5 by their top 🧙‍♀️ 🙋🏻‍♀️. She’s still dealing with Long Covid. Maybe today she’ll snap 🫰 out of it! 🤥 Nothing worse than feeling sick 🤢. Do you know if she is vaccinated Unc? 🦠 💉

The Red Sox had a miraculous victory yesterday vs the Birds of Baltimore baseball team 🐦. My son was at the game at Americas Most Beloved Ballpark ⚾️. The O’s basically handed it to them by making a silly error in the 9th inning. Neither team looks to have the pitching to be a contender this year. 😞 🥊

Have a Super Sunday suckers 🍭,

    Hey man, Weyman!

I think that even you would agree that all of us come with a certain level of bias. It’s human nature. But I think you’d be hard pressed to find someone more objective than yer dear old uncle. I was raised in an upper middle class bastion of Republicanism, and I worked both in banking and the pharmaceutical industry – also dominated by Republicans – for over three decades. A good portion of my family identifies as Republican. But my adherence to fact based science, logic, and empathy for others guides my overall quest for justice and truth.

It’s ironic how so many, who are SO deep in the FOX hole, are quick to accuse others of only watching CNN. I predate the cable news generation, and I’m a creature of habit, so I still watch – with a cautious eye – the three major network news broadcasts. Occasionally I’ll watch CNN, just because it’s on 24/7, much like I’ll tune into The Weather Channel – which is decidedly right wing – when I want to track a storm. And, I occasionally will turn on FOX News. But the overwhelmingly right wing bias that I experience on that network will alternately make me angry, or just laugh in total disbelief. But seeing that their stalwarts – in private – opined that the “stolen election” allegations, and the ex-President himself, were ludicrously false, while still publicly fanning those flames of adversity and division, should prove to everyone that that network has an obvious agenda that even the owner of the network has had too much of.

But as far as what I read, I do read my local newspaper. I don’t consider it biased. I also read news reports on my phone, and online, from a wide variety of sources, including The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, FOX, Reuters, NPR, The Atlantic, Vox, and even the Washington Examiner. I’ve been offered subscriptions to The Epoch Times! I go out of my way to see all perspectives.

I have spent my entire adult life in the Greater Metropolitan New York area. Manhattan, Brooklyn, Jersey City, and Rockland County. Our 40 year exposure to Donald Trump cannot be matched by any other region of the country. Over and over again, we’ve seen the spoiled playboy, hobnobbing with Saudi princes and the Jeffrey Epsteins of the world, cheating on his wives, and then divorcing them for a younger, prettier model/version. We’ve seen him boast about his hotels and Atlantic City casinos, Trump Steaks, Trump Airlines, and Trump University, etc. . . . until they failed. We have decades of realizing that he is just a conceited braggart, and not really someone to take seriously, when it comes to politics.

When he won in 2016 I laughed my butt off! I’ve never been a big fan of Hillary Clinton, so I did not vote for her. I voted for Jill Stein, of the Green Party, as a protest vote, knowing that Hillary would easily take New York state, which she did. I even gave Trump the benefit of the doubt in the beginning. I thought that his election bombast was just to appeal to his right wing base, and that he would become more of a centrist, and be a President for the entire country. THAT is something that I can admit I was wrong about. He did things that took us backwards in ways that severely hurt us both domestically and internationally. He also said and did things that only increased the divisiveness of our country. Things that we are struggling with greatly to this day.

If you’ve been reading this blog from the beginning you should know that my mantras are Question Authority, and Question Everything. Don’t take things at face value. Read between the lines, and look for what they’re NOT telling you.

You can disagree with what I say, and I welcome reasoned debate, but don’t try to accuse me of being “ill informed”. That is just laughable.

Smitty, I’m sure you know that much like shows, like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, that they are taped months in advance. Well, our guys do pretty much the same thing. They write and draw these Jumbles pretty far in advance, and they time them for certain seasons and holidays, and such. There is no way that my comment from a few days ago influenced yesterday’s Jumble cartoon. And besides, Jeff has cut off all connections to this blog, and to me personally. That’s his prerogative, and I accept that.

I’m not sure if “she” has been vaccinated, Smitty. I believe so, but I’m not sure if it ever came up in correspondence.

Yep! Birds blew it! They’re a young team though. They’re still learning. You must be relieved, not being 2-0 to them. LOL!

Unc….very good, even response..(Weyman). Everyone has differing thoughts, opinions. It’s nice when we can express those opinions, keeping to our ‘lane’ like you did.

Thanks for the note about LWC….I’ve been concerned too.

I’m getting close to working through to todays blog!!

All y’all have a big day. The finches are about and it was stormy throughout the early morning hours. LL
