Answer: HAPPY AS A LARK
(This pun was music to my ears! “Birds singing in the sycamore tree . . . dream a little dream of me!” “Wilt thou be gone? It was the nightingale, and not the lark, that pierced the fearful hollow of thine ear.” Nope! It was the lark, the herald of the morn, no nightingale. Uh oh! I best boogie, before yo daddy catches us! He’ll likely skin me alive. Or, words to that effect. I was never the most serious Shakespeare student.
No new clue words today. Stand down, ralis95! Three of the jumbles were coming up as new for me though. It seems that we have seen “saail” in at least one previous Jumble. The answer letter layout was a terrific twelve letter jumble. Charmingly cryptic. The final answer might have been difficult for some of our younger players, who might not be familiar with the phrase! I think about a week ago we had HAPPY AS A CLAM as the final answer!
Fine cartoon of a couple of different birds in a tree. The one on the left looks a little like a blue jay. Supposedly there are larks here in the northeast, but I think they like more rural areas. I’ve never seen one in my backyard at least! Beautiful Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
