Clue/Question: When they accessed an online dictionary on their new 4K monitor, it was – – –
Answer: HIGH DEFINITION
(When you go to that dictionary the definition of The Jumble: big stinky pun games, appreciated by highly intelligent people! But of course! We exercise our brains by solving these word puzzles. And, we pat ourselves on the back every time that we solve these silly things. When I worked in IT there was a manager who gave out copies of the Jumble to his group every morning to see who could solve it first. I worked with him, but not for him, and I’d have to smile because it took these programmers a lot longer to solve than you’d expect intelligent people to do so. I guess you just have to be wired a certain way. They probably excelled at the Sudoku though.
I’m sure that all of you recognized today’s clue words as old faithful Jumble clue words. Of course they’re on the ralis95 clue word database. Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me. But it seems that we’ve seen “nihys” in at least one previous Jumble. The answer letter layout was a forceful fourteen letter jumble. Fabulously cryptic. But there was a lot to pick up on to get the final answer.
Fine cartoon of the couple checking their new computer screen. This kind of looks like my set up. My eyes are so weak that I definitely need a bigger monitor to see things properly. I don’t know how so many people do so much on their cell phones! Don’t get me wrong, I use mine too, but nowhere’s near as much as I use my good ol’ computer. I’ve noticed that I don’t get as complete results when I Google on my phone, vs. Googling on my computer. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. I’ll be taking a little travel break following my posts for the 13th. I’ll probably start back up on the 21st, or 22nd. Feel free to visit Jeff’s site while I’m away. Or, you might decide to take a little break yourselves! I just wanted to prepare you a little in advance. — YUR
