Clue/Question: To learn how to set up their sleeping shelters, the young campers needed to – – –

Answer: BE ATTENTIVE
(A fine, stinky Jumble pun! Now, this one could have utilized hyphens! Not that they were necessary, but they would have helped to accentuate the gag word, TENT. You know, the word they were avoiding by saying “sleeping shelters”. When they use phrasing like this it’s always a huge clue to the final answer. I always look for this kind of phrasing with “Jeopardy” answers, to come up with the correct questions. They don’t all give you these clues, but when you pick up on them it really makes you look more knowledgeable than you probably are. LOL! My problem these days is sometimes I know the correct “question”, but I have trouble getting the name/word, from the recesses of my brain, to my mouth in time. THAT is very maddening.
All of today’s clue words are already on the ralis95 clue word database. However, all four jumbles are coming up as new, for me! All great jumbles, but none of them stumped me. The answer letter layout was an elusive eleven letter jumble. But it was pretty obvious that the first word had to be BE. And, you just knew that TENT was in the second word.
Cute cartoon of the cub scouts and their scout masters. Like so many kids these days, I’m sure that a few of them suffer from ADD and ADHD, which is why it might be difficult for them to BE ATTENTIVE. All little kids have always been easily distracted, because so much of the world is new to them. But far too many kids are being diagnosed with these attention disorders these days. I sometime wonder, is it just easier for these parents to have their kids diagnosed with these conditions, than actually using – and teaching their kids – discipline? So many parents have abdicated their parental responsibilities, for the caché of being fashionably au courant, and *different* from – and “better” than – their parents. I just shake my head. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
