Clue/Question: The containers in the two-pack of Elmer’s Glue were happy they could – – –
Answer: STICK TOGETHER
(They’re hoping that their binding friendship can endure! Would today’s Jumble answer be considered more of a sticky pun? Fix on that for a moment. If they’re produced together, and shipped together, I think they can be secure in their staying affixed. Other than some crafters, aren’t these glue sticks pretty much used by children anyway? I don’t think these glues are meant to be permanent. These two make fast friends though. We had the regular Elmer’s white glue when I was a kid, but the main thing in elementary school was school paste. I’m not 100% sure it was Elmer’s, but it sounds right. I remember tasting it, as it smelled pretty good. Some of you are thinking: Oh, THAT explains everything! LOL!
Of course, all of today’s clue words are on the world famous ralis95 clue word database. Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me. But Mr. Hoyt has definitely used “hurtt” in at least one previous Jumble. The answer letter layout was a thirsty thirteen letter jumble. Not “thirsty” in that nasty way that the kids are using the word these days though. I thought it was nicely cryptic. But the cartoon and the clue/question gave me a lot to latch onto.
Cute cartoon of the two-pack pals. Once upon a time, Elmer’s was the male counterpart – husband – to Elsie the Borden cow! But I hear they got a divorce in 1994. Hey, old timers! Remember LePage’s mucilage glue? It came in a glass bottle with kind of a red rubber nipple/applicator. Was this the stuff made from horse hooves, or was that something else? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Wow – haven’t thought about those bottles of LePage’s in decades! A quick web search indicates that it still being made. Can’t say I’ve noticed it, but I’m not typically hanging out in the stationery aisle!
UR,
Can’t remember the last time I heard or read the word PLIGHT,,,
The boys give resuscitation to some lonely words stuck with Mr. Webster,,,HaHa^*
Byyyyyyye,,,,,,,km
I use Gator 🐊 Glue these days. Seems to work on anything and everything. I also tasted the paste as a kid in kindergarten Un c 👦 Not too shabby. Better than the paper mache did 🤮.
Speaking of 🤮, the kids over there 👉 AGAIN stuck 9x y’day, with only 4 by their Glue Girl 🙋🏻♀️. Very slowwwww over there 🐢. Don’t tell the boss! 🤥 Stay safe out there! And tell the damn truth!
So Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of double murder and received life in prison today. Color me surprised, but certainly just 💊. They estimated he was taking up to 60 pills a day and cost him about $60k PER WEEK! Yikes 😳 that’s where the money went. I pray for the surviving boy Buster the ginger like his murderer father. Very sad 😢 on all counts, including the maid. 🧹
Have a fun Friyay fellers,

That’s our David L. Hoyt for ya! Mixing it up anyway he can! — YUR
LOL! Me either, Art. I just remember my Mom having a bottle of it at her desk. — YUR
Unc,
If your mother had a bottle of glue at her desk, she must have been a teacher of some sorts !
Hey! How’ve you been, lwc??? Long time no hear! Where ya been hiding?
No, Mom was not a teacher. She had a desk where she did her nightly reconciliation of her finances. She had been a bookkeeper before she became a mom, and she was very fastidious . . . to say the least.
Glad you’re back! — YUR
LWC!! I’ve been wondering about you! Greetings.
Glue — still use glue—but not often and it gets yuck pretty quickly. Glue sticks are good, but they go pretty fast too. It all comes in handy to decorate birthday cards. LL
That seems to have been a one and done for LWC, LindaLee. He hasn’t commented sisnce. I hope he’s okay! — YUR
