Sunday Jumble Solved – 02/19/23

Answer:  LITTLE “BUY“ LITTLE

(A little too obvious???  Yeah, I definitely thought so.  I usually expect something a little more challenging from a Sunday Jumble.  But sometimes they’re more modest efforts, like today’s.  But there were some things to like about it.

Despite the fact that we have seen all of today’s clue words before, some of them haven’t been seen in quite some time.  So long that I thought that possibly “septum” and “billow” might be new words!  But even they are on the ralis95 clue word database.  “Billow” is one of those words that spell out in alphabetical order.  Only two of the jumbles are new, for me.  We’ve seen “gninin”, “jcebto”, “psmute” and “tolino” in previous Jumbles.  The only one I had a hard time with was “psmute”.  At first I was seeing tempus.  Both septum and tempus come from the Latin, but “septum” is definitely MORE common.  So, no one needs to get their nose out of joint.  The answer letter layout was a fantastic fifteen letter jumble.  But all the L’s and T’s kind of gave away the final answer.

Interesting cartoon of the women, and the one’s unusual collection.  No doubt it had it’s roots in her Barbie’s Dream House days!  LOL!  There’s no shame in it.  For a fairly short while I had a beer can collection . . . until my mom threw it out.  I’ve seen some impressive beer can collections, in some bars and such.  They make me glad my Mom threw them out!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  On this day in 1942 the Tuskegee Airmen were formed.  In 1869 civil rights activist Henry Sylvester Williams was born.  In 1940 Smokey Robinson was born.  In 1963 Seal was born.  In 2002 Vonetta Flowers became the first Black person to win a gold medal at the Winter Olympics!  Celebrate Black History Month!   —   YUR
