Jumble Solved – 02/11/23

Outdoor Living: How to build a low to the ground deck.

Visual Description:  Family project.

LIDLR  =  DRILL,  PVREI  =  VIPER,  CDTEEN  =  DECENT,  SBLEHU  =  BUSHEL   —   Giving us:  LLVEEETBS

Clue/Question:  They were building a new deck and wanted to do their – – –

Building A Code Compliant Deck - Deck Building Code Approved

Answer:  LEVEL BEST

(I think using the clue word joist would have been in line with the theme of today’s Jumble.  Don’t you?  I remember asking David, early on, if he’d consider employing all four jumble/clue words that would relate to the Jumble answer, but he shot that idea down.  So, I gave up on giving him suggestions.  LOL!

All four of these clue words have been used in previous Jumbles.  Two of the jumbles are coming up as new, but we’ve definitely seen both “lidlr” and “cdteen” some time in the past.  The answer letter layout was a noble nine letter jumble.  Cryptic?  Nah!  A bit wobbly and unsteady, in my opinion.  I got the final answer even before seeing the guy using the level.

Fine cartoon of a father and daughter building a deck in their backyard.  It  looks like mom had her doubts, but she should be pleasantly surprised with the results.  Is that another level leaning up against the frame?  LOL!  I like the daughter’s knee pads.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  On this date in 1958 Ruth Carol Taylor became the first African American stewardess, now called “flight attendant”, when she was hired by Mohawk Airlines.  I flew Mohawk as a kid.  In 1976 Clifford Alexander Jr. was sworn in as the first African American Secretary of the Army.  And in 1990 Nelson Mandela was finally released from prison.  Celebrate Black History!      YUR
