Visual Description: Answer to the My Pillow Guy!
GIYEHT = EIGHTY, PSEORY = OSPREY, YDIHRB = HYBRID, WORHNT = THROWN, APNSIR = SPRAIN, CNLIHF = FLINCH — Giving us: EGTOERIDTWPRNFCH
Clue/Question: After using the highest quality feathers to make the pillows, they were – – –
Pre-Answer: Two Words (9-letters) (7-letters)
Answer: DOWNRIGHT PERFECT
(A nicely challenging Jumble. And a decent pun too. I grew up using down/feather pillows, but they were all a bit long in the tooth! I remember little feathers popping out of the seams, from time to time. I’d think they’d be difficult to launder. You probably have to take them to a dry cleaner. Some people still swear by them. I’ve generally used various foam pillows for the last 40 years or so. Never bought a My Pillow! But I do own a couple of memory foam pillows. I like a single stand alone pillow, so the memory foam one works great for me. But the wife likes to be elevated, and uses multiple pillows, with the memory foam one being the base. She also thinks that, by itself, it’s too hard. Obviously, there is no ChatGPT being used on THIS blog!
All of today’s clue words are on the ralis95 clue word database. I was hoping maybe “osprey” might be new, but no. Surprisingly, all of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me. That is pretty impressive. The only one to give me any serious pause was “pseory”. Probably because the clue word starts with an O. The answer letter layout was a spectacular sixteen letter jumble! Wonderfully cryptic, with only four vowels. My first inclination was that the first word was going to end in ING, but nothing solid was coming to me. Then, for the second word, the word PERFECT just kind of jumped out at me! With the GTOIDWRNH remaining I was still thinking the first word would be ending in ING, but I couldn’t do anything with TODWRH! Abandoning the ending in ING helped me to see DOWNRIGHT . . . and the pun!
Simple cartoon of the pillow maker, and the potential customer. I liked the sewing machine and the big bag of goose down, for stuffing the pillows. And there are a couple of completed pillows on the opposite table. Nothing fancy was needed today, so that’s what we got. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Went looking for “down” —- found it and then got DOWNRIGHT …figured out PERFECT — however, I kept having an extra letter…finally gave up trying to figure out why I had the extra letter and left my answer alone.
This Jumble is so very dejavu…seems like we recently had a pillow Jumble. Unc…I’m remembering you commented something about pillow makers should not be in politics….or something like that. I might just be dreaming all of this up!!
At any rate – a grand Sunday Jumble. LL
I assume your “no ChatGPT” is a little wink and a nod at that other jumble web blog we keep hearing about through one of your readers. Cute!
I tried it as you suggested and found it wanting. To each his own.
Gelsey
It’s all a blur to me these days, LL. I’m not sure if we had a pillow themed Jumble, or if I just brought up the My Pillow Guy in one of my political rants. But I don’t think you were just dreaming. There was . . . something. — YUR
Infer as you may, Gelsey! I really don’t know. All I know is that the chatter seems canned, IMO. — YUR
Jealously is not becoming of you Uncle. I doubt if you’ll post this since you’ve censored my other posts. Let the trolls run wild here!
I never appreciated the importance of a good pillow until later in life. In my 20s and 30s I never had problems sleeping. 💤. Might have had something to do with all the booze. 🍸. Now that I’m a bit older, I appreciate the need of a good pillow for optimum snoozing. 😴
Speaking of snoozing, 😴 the folks over there 👉 snored their way to 13 replies…. Nine of them by the Head Nurse which included the first FIVE IN A ROW! 🙋🏻♀️ Unheard of in these parts… 🛌. Her .692 average was her best since records have been kept in 2020.
Unc, I’m sorry for jinxing YUR Bills y’day. They didn’t play their best game. Josh Allen (he’s tall) just couldn’t find Diggs open, and Stefon surely let him know about it on the sidelines 👋 🤚. On to next year. And baseball season ⚾️.
With love,
Sleepy Smitty
There was plenty of blame to go around yesterday, Smitty. Both Coordinators stubbornly refused to alter their game plans according to what Cincy was showing them. Cincy is a very talented team, but I think we are too, but the coaching definitely let us down. — YUR
I don’t understand Jeff’s comments about you being jealous. I think you’ve been very supportive of the other blogs. If anything blame me Jeff. Unc is a fair and honorable guy, unlike myself.
Cheers! 🍸
— Smitty
PS – It’s all in good clean fun BTW. Let’s all not be so serious! It’s just a game.
Jealous of what, Jeff??? I haven’t censored your comments at all, I was just waiting to see how far you were going to take this. When I saw your first one I just figured that a little birdie had asked you to intervene, because despite what you said in your second one . . . you haven’t said Boo here in ages. But I’ll say to you what I said to that fair weather poster from another site. I keep the names of both that site, and the administrator, out of Smitty’s posts, out of respect for that site. Like you said there are multiple sites, so no one need assume which site Smitty is referring too. And, as I said to that administrator, your readers are your readers, and my readers are my readers, so if Smitty wants to include stats from another site in his posts I see no reason to suppress them. I don’t read, or bother with, other Jumble sites, so I don’t even understand why they think they need to read mine. Read me if you want . . . or not. But I won’t let anyone tell me what to write, or what to allow my readers to write. As the sole proprietor of this blog it’s all my call, Jeff.

I may have my suspicions, Smitty. But I’m willing to let sleeping dogs lie. — YUR
I’m with you Unc. It’s your blog. And well said. 👏 👏. I think Jeff is off base here. The admin over there (🐦) 👉 isn’t too happy with me. It’s ok. I can take it.
— Smitty
I’m being supportive of another human being. She’s not a SITE, she’s a human. Obviously, your reader knows that because he constantly refers to a “her” and “she”. And calling her a “little birdie”, “Lansbury”, “Head Nurse”, “Fearless leader”, “Adrian”…. doesn’t sound like you’re upset with a site, it’s personal and those are personal attacks. But I’m the bad guy for calling it out for what it is. Like you said, your site, your rules (although I;m not sure where to read those) your call.
This is the same Jeff whom, along with Mr. Hoyt, never responded to my email(s) regarding a puzzle suggestion (as I mentioned to you, YUR last summer or there about). Not even a “sorry, we don’t take suggestions” which would have taken all of thirty seconds.
Hence his comment from yesterday is revealing more about both men.
All the best,
Barbara
Thanks for your support, Barbara. I have no idea of the volume of suggestions the boys might receive, but one would think that they could have some kind of a plug and play form letter, that they could use in response to them. More personal replies might be a bit too much for them though, as they are involved with other things besides the Jumble.
— YUR
Sorry that happened to you Barb. Not very considerate at all.
— Smitty
I’m not upset with any site, Jeff. I don’t read it. I looked at it early on, and I remember reporting, to you, the fact that they post their “answers” extremely early, even before the clock strikes 12:00 AM in some cases. You said you’d look into it, but I guess it was all okay with you, because you never really followed up with me, and just let it go. Now, some years later, you appear to be its greatest supporter. We all make our choices, pal.
— YUR
Oh my!! LL
Jeff, I was using those names because YUR asked me NOT to use her real name. And it’s me calling Xxxxxx those names, NOT Unc! Me. Smitty. I’m just following the rules, not making the rules.
Jeff, please try to be more consistent. You are all over the place. And have fun. You seem stressed. It’s all good clean fun. Nobody is hurt except YOU. 😀
Thanks,
— Smitty
Just give it a little time, LindaLee. As with most things in life: This too shall pass.
— YUR
Hey, I’ve stopped receiving alerts about your post. That’s why I hadn’t read you lately. As usual, WP is screwing it all up.
‘posts.’
I don’t know, Wes. You might try clicking on follow again. Glad to hear from you again! — YUR
