Clue/Question: After the birds interrupted the filming of the movie, they – – –
Answer: FLED THE SCENE
( . . . of the crime? Because, most of these dopey romance movies are criminal, in my book. Sappy, dopey and weepy just doesn’t cut it for me. And it looks like the movie is just playing up all these overly dramatic marriage proposals that are so popular these days. Everybody has to try to come up with distinctive and “special” ways to “pop the question”. And they usually would like to have someone film it for them, so they can post them to social media, in hopes that they go “viral”. Gag me with a spoon! As you can tell, they’re a pet peeve of mine. But I’m not sure which is worse, these contrived marriage proposals, or the utterly ridiculous “gender reveal” experiences! Too many people today are way too self absorbed and narcissistic.
Of course all of today’s clue words are on the world famous ralis95 clue word database. Two of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me. But we’ve definitely seen both “rfate” and “xscese” in previous Jumbles. I was able to see all the clue words immediately. The answer letter layout was another nifty nine letter jumble. Two days in a row! Decently cryptic. I was looking for something relating to flew – as birds fly – but there was no W. Then I saw FLED – which is the past tense of flee – and the remaining letters gave me SCENE. I thought the final answer was a little lame, as a pun, but then I remembered they were making a movie.
Great cartoon of the spoiled romantic scene. I like the assistant director trying to shoo away the birds. Seagulls can be a real nuisance, but when they smell food it’s like blood in the water with sharks! They probably should have used fake food in the picnic basket! If I were the director I’d keep the scene, and just make this more of a rom-com! They have a broader appeal than straight romance flicks. It’s fairly obscure, but Jeff did slip in a classic sinking sailboat on the horizon! Gotta love it! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

could anyone tell me how to get “world-
famous RALIS 95 Jumbles word
database” personal copy?
Sorry, Kalee. It is not available to the general public. He (ralis95) sends me and David L. Hoyt a read-only copy roughly 4 times a year, with the stipulation that we will not redistribute it.

I was never a fan of birds. Not sure why. My mother has always had bird feeders at her house. I don’t get that either. Birds can’t feed themselves? All it attracts is squirrels and bears anyway. 🐻. Sounds like a bird-brained idea to me 🦅.
Speaking of the bird-brained, the worms over there slithered to a 13 spot y’day with 6 of them from the head robin. 🙋🏻♀️. Did you know that when birds feed their young, they eat and regurgitate the worm, and then feed it to their fledgling. Kind of like what’s going on over there 👉. Ya feel me?
Sad to hear of the case in Cohasset where Brian Walshe killed, dismembered and incinerated his beautiful wife Ana. They had 3 young sons aged 2, 4, and 6. It doesn’t sound like they are ever going to find her remains now. Love works in mysterious ways. Even in quiet old Cohasset. You just never know I guess? 💍
Best,
