Clue/Question: All the touchdown receptions thrown by Bart Starr were – – –
Answer: IN THE “PASSED“
(Not bad. Old Bart was the man back then. I was never a big Green Bay fan though. I much preferred Greg Landry, John Brodie, Len Dawson, Sonny Jurgensen, Billie Kilmer, and of course Johnny Unitas! Back then there was really only one QB that I actually hated, and that was Roger Staubach! And why did I hate him back then? Because he routinely beat all the teams I was rooting for back then. It wasn’t until I was an older adult that I grew to appreciated him. That guy was THE MAN!
The four clue words are all proud members of the ralis95 clue word database. They all came to me pretty quickly. Two of the jumbles appear to be new, however we have definitely seen “ziper” and “spypan” in earlier Jumbles. The answer letter layout was an evasive eight letter jumble. I thought it was competitively cryptic.
Great cartoon of a grandpa and his grandson, at the Pro Football hall of Fame, in Canton Ohio. I brought my son there, many many years ago. It was great seeing the busts of all the greats, and watching the videos of some of the most famous plays of all time. If you’re a fan of football I highly recommend visiting. Fun Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

You failed to mention the great QB of that era Jim Plunkett. He was one of the best passers of all time. Heisman Trophy winner from Stanford, first overall pick by the New England Patriots and 2 time Super Bowl champion. Quite a guy. Billy Kilmer was famous for fumbling the wrong way.
Speaking of fumbling, A*g fumbled her way to 4 responses y’day. 🙋♀️. Let’s do better today please.
Let’s see if the Bills play this Sunday in honor of their stricken brother Damar. My reliable sources tell me that his health improvement is dramatic. Our prayers are working!

I didn’t fail to mention Plunkett, Smitty. Jimmy played in the *next generation* of the NFL. (You must be younger than me!) But the NFL has done a disservice to Jim Plunkett. One might even call it racist! Despite some of his Irish-German – paternal heritage – he was also of Mexican and Native America heritage. QB-ing two Super Bowl victories should make him an automatic NFL Hall of Famer, but the Hall has dissed him!
And Billy Kilmer didn’t “fumble the wrong way”! It’s just that so many of his forward passes wobbled so much that they appeared to some folks as fumbles! Billy was a baller.
We’re all hoping that Damar’s health continues to improve. He’s a really good kid. I remember, earlier in the season, arguing with some guy on Facebook who was trying to say that he stunk. I argued that this is only his second season, and you can’t rationally hold him to the same standards of the 10 year veteran of Micah Hyde. He’s still essentially learning the position at the NFL level, so what he might lack in saviness, he’s trying to compensate with aggressiveness. Too many people get caught up in the fantasy football mentality, and forget that these are still real people.
