Clue:Question: Even though rabbits aren’t insects, they can be – – –
Answer: GRASS HOPPERS
(Aww! Yes, this is a cute Jumble. Bunnies are so sweet to watch. I remember one year where we were kind of overrun with them. My Golden Retriever, Ginger caught a baby one, but she was very gentle with it. We released it to the forsythia bush where we knew they had a den. But all good things must come to an end. I think between the hawks, the foxes and coyotes – oh, and feral AND domestic cats – their population was drastically reduced. I’ll still see one occasionally, but nowhere’s near what I saw that one year. A year or two later we had the same thing with chipmunks. Nature has cycles like that.
All of today’s clue words are on the ralis95 clue word database. And only one of the jumbles appears to be new. We’ve definitely seen “rpuns”, “curpes” and “bollag” in prior Jumbles. It’s been a while since we’ve seen “spurn”! The answer letter layout was a terrific twelve letter jumble. It looked pretty intimidating – with only the three vowels – until I saw the cartoon and read the clue/question. They made for a quick solve.
Great cartoon of the suburban family observing some unexpected nature. I think the little girl would like to adopt one or more of the bunnies. Very cute. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
