“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.” — George Eliot
(Kind of a reverse Boy named Sue! She was born Mary Ann Evans. Like some other women writers of the time she felt that a man’s name would help her to be taken more seriously. I’m sure that it helped, as she is known for a number of 19th Century classics. Strange to read of the open marriages back then! It seems that many poets/authors had a strong affinity for autumn! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
