(What a rare combination of beauty and sublime comic genius!  Did anybody do it better than Lucy?  I think not.  The dynamo from little Jamestown, NY.  Too bad she was a heavy smoker.  That most likely contributed to her death, from a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm, at the relatively young age of 77.  It’s hard to believe that she’s been gone for over 33 years already.  “I Love Lucy” may live on forever though!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Jumble Solved – 10/15/22

Clue/Question:  When the new laundromat had a grand-opening party, everyone had – – –

Answer:  LOADS OF FUN

(The vast majority of my laundromat experience took place when I was in college, and later on while a bachelor.  Plenty of loads, of course.  But not a lot of fun.  No music, because with all those machines going it made for a mighty din.  And, unlike in some movies and TV – mostly commercials –  I never “connected” with anyone.  The only conversations were things like:  Are you using that?  Most folks just want to get it over with!

We have seen all of today’s clue words before.  Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me.  But we’ve definitely seen “sfliso” in some previous Jumble.  They all came to me quickly.  The answer letter layout was a tense ten letter jumble.  Nicely cryptic.  The cartoon, and the final answer slots, made for a quick solve.

Great cartoon of the disco-laundromat.  Pretty funny, having both a deejay and a disco-ball.  All the patrons seem to be enjoying themselves.  I wonder where the guys got the idea for this?  LOL!  Fun Jumble.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
