Fluffy birb person - Drawception

Answer:  REMAIN SILENT

(Maybe, he was Miranda the Mime!?  Sure, it sounds like a woman’s first name, but “Miranda Rights” came about as a result of Ernesto Miranda signing a confession for a crime, after a few hours of interrogation by the police.  His lawyer argued that Miranda was not informed of his right to counsel, or his right to remain silent, prior to the confession, but the judge and jury convicted him anyway.  His lawyer took the case to the state Supreme Court, but they affirmed the lower court’s decision, citing that Miranda never asked for an attorney.  But his lawyer got a big shot lawyer to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, and they ruled that it’s the police’s responsibility to inform every suspect that they have certain rights under the Fifth and Sixth Amendments.  Miranda got another trial, with the confession being ruled out as inadmissible.  But other evidence, and his girlfriend – of the time of the crime – testified that he had admitted the crime to her, so he was convicted and sentenced a second time.  So, now you’ve heard the Reader’s Digest version of “Miranda Rights”.

All of today’s clue words are members of the ralis95 clue word database.  However, all four jumbles are coming up as new for me.  None of them stumped me though.  The answer letter layout was a twisty twelve letter jumble.  But the cartoon, and the clue/question, made for a quick solve.

Great cartoon of the mime in jail.  He’s not talking to fellow cons, or the guards/police.  I hope he at least nodded when asked if he wanted an attorney!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Lisa Loeb - Shubb Capos

When someone asks if you’d like cake or pie, why not say you want cake and pie.”   —   Lisa Loeb

(Sure!  Why not?!  Life is too short to have to decide between one, or the other.  Always try for both, until you become a Type II Diabetic . . . like me.  Then, just sneak whatever you can, and be prepared to make up for it the next day.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
