SNIPGR = SPRING, CSMTAO = MASCOT, GAULEE = LEAGUE, PRILEP = RIPPLE, COMSOH = SMOOCH, RUPUSE = PURSUE — Giving us: SPIMSEERPSMRSE
Clue/Question: The emperor showed off in front of his wife in order to – – –
Pre-Answer: Three Words (7-letters) THE (7-letters)
Answer: IMPRESS THE EMPRESS
(Very nice pun. No new clue words. Four new jumbles, but we’ve seen “gaulee” and “rupuse” before. This is the second time that I’ve had to back into “league”! “Gaulee” is a great jumble! The answer letter layout was a fun fourteen letter jumble. But the repeating letters made for a quick solve.
Great Roman palace cartoon. The Empress seems bored. Not sure why there isn’t some professional form of entertainment. Maybe the Emperor is just a cheapskate! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
