Cryptoquote Solved – 10/04/22

Wheatfield with Crows, c.1890' Art Print - Vincent van Gogh |

Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.”   —   Vincent van Gogh

(Kind of ironic, coming from the guy who cut off  – part of? – his ear, allegedly to impress a prostitute.  I just read that the woman/girl that he – physically – gave it to was a cleaner at a brothel, and not the actual prostitute.  But was it intended for the prostitute?  Hmm!  He clearly wasn’t in a good place at that time, and eventually he shot and killed himself.  The experts refer to him as a Post-Impressionist, but I still think of him as mainly an Impressionist.  I can’t say whether this was a tough cipher, as I picked up on the author’s name right away.  I did struggle some to solve the Celebrity Cipher!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I had to stare at it a little, too, UR, even with the gimme of the A and ARE. It was like gazing at a weird Van Gogh painting …

LOL, hal! A and ARE weren’t a gimme for me. Not sure why. Maybe, because it could’ve been I and ITS? Today’s was much easier. As was the Cryptoquote. — YUR
