Answer: SEW” IT SEAMED

(A very rare double pun!  Very impressive!  I wonder if the guys came up with this themselves, or if it came from a devoted Jumble fan’s suggestion?  Does anyone remember when we last had a double pun like this?  Because, I surely can’t.

All the clue words are familiar old members of the ralis95 clue word database.  Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me.  But we’ve definitely seen “tinday” before.  It almost sounds Filipino to me.  The answer letter layout was another nifty nine letter jumble.  But, with the combination of the repeating letters, the great cartoon, and the quotation marks, it was a pretty simple solve, for me.

Fun cartoon of a wife trying to keep her – wannabe Tony Manero, aka: John Travolta – husband in his pants.  If he would just take it a little easier on the raviolis he wouldn’t have to worry about busting out of his trousers like that.  LOL!  Fun Jumble.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

    Hi,

You mention the possibility this jumble might have come from “a devoted Jumble fan’s suggestion.” I have twice in the past sent a Jumble suggestion to the four emails attributed to Mr. Hoyt and Mr. Knurek online, and either I did something wrong, or they’re not as receptive as we’ve been lead to believe. In fact, I never received any acknowledgement from either –not a “thanks, but no thanks,” or even a “boo.”

Wow, Anonymous! That really surprises – and disappoints – me. A response of some sorts would seem to be in order. Either: it’s been done before, or it’s too obscure, or it’s not “appropriate”, or we already have the idea in the pipeline. You’d think that they could respond in some way/fashion. I can’t really apologize for them, but I do feel for you. — YUR

You’re very sweet. Thank you for the kind words.
