Answer: IN THE WORKS
(Maybe, because of the words WORK and LABOR being synonymous, this is the guys’ salute to Labor Day? Yeah, let’s go with that. Otherwise, this would barely qualify for a Junior Jumble. Do they still have those? I think that’s actually how I – initially – got into the Jumble . . . way back, when I was a wee non-menstrual person! LOL! Wait a minute. I’m pretty sure that ALL children are non-menstrual persons. Right? Either way, there’s no way that I could’ve ever gone into labor. See how that came around?
Today’s clue words are dues paying members of the ralis95 clue word union. None of them are apprentices. The two short jumbles appear to be new, but we’ve definitely seen both “revant” and “konreb” in earlier Jumbles. The answer letter layout was a slight seven letter jumble. Been a while since we’ve had one that short. With the final answer slot spacing, and especially with the word THE, it took no effort to come up with the answer.
Fine cartoon of some ladies setting up shop. I guess they’re going to be selling Jumble mugs, and other Jumble related tchotchkes. I can’t really make out what’s on the other box. David and Jeff are good at marketing their money-maker! I should get me one of those mugs! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
