Jumble Solved – 07/21/22

Clue/Question:  When the company’s board members voted to raise prices, the – – –

Answer:  GREEDY AGREED

(A nice, sing-songy Jumble answer!  The Jumble pretty much said it all, so I won’t bother going off on a rant.  But you all know I could!

We have seen all of these clue words in the past.  But it’s looking like all of the jumbles are coming up as new, at least for me.  I thought that both “rbete” and “nyregt” were nicely cryptic.  The answer letter layout was a doozy of a dozen letter jumble.  Not a classic pun, but I was able to pick up on it right away.

Fine cartoon of a corporate boardroom.  These folks look too happy to be raising prices, but with the current supply chain issues, the resulting inflation, and rising fuel costs, a lot of restaurants have been forced to raise their prices and/or add a surcharge to their bills.  We had it good for a VERY long time, and economic downturns are inevitable.  But we will get through it, with a little belt tightening, and some common sense.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
