Jumble Solved – 07/19/22

WNRAD  =  DRAWN,  NAAPD  =  PANDA,  NITUGO  =  OUTING,  YNHHPE  =  HYPHEN   —   Giving us:  DANNDAOIGHHN

Clue/Question:  For this guy, having huge arms and winning arm wrestling matches – – –

Answer:  GO HAND IN HAND

(Strap in, folks!  It’s going to be a grunty ride!  I remember there were videos of this average looking guy defeating all these huge, muscle-bound dudes at arm wrestling.  He wasn’t scrawny, or anything, he was just strong all over; legs, core, shoulders, arms and hands, without being overly bulky.  He utilized his entire body, and had great technique.  Smart Davids CAN beat the Goliaths . . . sometimes!

Easily recognizable clue words today.  Three of the jumbles appear to be new, to me.  But Mr. Hoyt has definitely used “nitugo” in previous Jumbles.  The answer letter layout was a toproll twelve letter jumble!  It did not give the final answer away.  But I figured that the two four-letter words would be HAND.  The pun/phrase came to me quickly.
