“There are no passengers on spaceship earth. We are all crew.” — Marshall McLuhan
(And, some/many of us should probably be thrown in the brig! Many for dereliction of duty. And, others for outright mutiny! There really is no “plan B”, folks. Continuing in our wasteful ways is proving to be a recipe for disaster. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Did anyone else notice that the June 30, 2022 Jumble only had 12 circled letters on the top, but 13 circles for the final answer? It is missing an “O.” Or did this get corrected when it was published in other papers? Mine was in the Omaha (NE) World-Herald.
I can’t speak for any other newspaper but my own, Steve, but everything added up in mine. Which word didn’t have an O? — YUR
The word SESAME was printed in error, instead of SWOOSH 🙋🏻♀️
3rd word was sesame in my edition.
Looks like some others reported the same thing — 3rd word was erroneously sent out as “sesame” instead of “swoosh”.
Mine also had 13 circled squares. That would have been a SOAR-Y mistake!
That’s a quasi-defeatist/quasi-elitist statement, lwc. Very popular with Global Warming denying/fossil fuel supporting types. Will the physical entity of the planet outlast humans? No doubt. But with the way things are headed, will it still be habitable for humans, and many of today’s species??? — YUR
For you, Angela, was that online, or in a newspaper? I thought you solved it online. Some of the folks are talking about their newspapers. — YUR
It appears that you were not alone, Steve! My newspaper had it correct. Guess I was one of the lucky ones. — YUR
LOL, hal. — YUR
According to the numerous complaints we received, it was printed in some papers. I subscribe to the NY Daily News, but I utilize online versions to get to see all Jeff’s Gems. Impossible to glean them from the paper. Jeff posted an explanation for us. I’ll copy and paste it for you…🙋🏻♀️
From Jeff yesterday, 06/30…
Looks like we had to correct a word because of too many or few circled letters. Not sure what the problem was, I usually check out by then, and a correction was issued on the 13th. Papers grab these and put them in their formats and don’t look for corrections some times. Sorry about the mix up. We try to get these out correct the first time, but a couple of times a year we have to go back and make an alert for papers to grab the new puzzle. They miss it many times.

It was printed correctly in my paper, and all the other Tribune owned editions. 🙋🏻♀️
That may have been your paper, Steve.
The Atlanta Journal/Constitution circled 13 letters, but it still took me too long to get the last word, “GOTTEN”.
Apparently, when there’s a mistake it seems to happen locally. Maybe Unc has data on that.
There were five Os, Unc.
Each word had at least one.
