Clue/Question: The books near the top of the bookcase had – – –
Pre-Answer: Two Words (4-letters) “(5-letters)”-(6-letters)
Answer: HIGH “SHELF“-ESTEEM
(A highfalutin, stinky Jumble pun! At least the cat seems to favor the pulp fiction section. Those top tomes must be some kind of reference books. Probably dictionaries and thesauruses, and such. The next shelf down could be a set of encyclopedias! Remember them? They used to be the go to source before the internet came along. I don’t know if they even sell those anymore! I know that we still have a set around here, but they’re probably circa 1980s.
No new clue words today. They all appear in the book of ralis95! Five of the jumbles do appear to be new. But we’ve definitely seen a dash of “ssalph” in previous Jumbles. It took me a couple of looks to see “atrium” and “hiatus”. Lots of vowels can throw me a bit. The answer letter layout was a fantastic fifteen letter jumble. Nothing obvious about it. But I was able to come up with the final answer immediately.
Fine cartoon of the anthropomorphic books in the bookcase. I’m not sure if there’s some meaning to the dancer statue. Is that a cat sleeping on that bottom shelf, or one of Jeff’s dogs? I know they’re on the small size. And, I didn’t think the Knureks had a cat. A satisfying Sunday Jumble. Nice work, David and Jeff. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
