Clue/Question: It’s a good thing sweet potatoes can’t talk. If they could, there’d be a lot of – – –

Answer: YAMMERING
(Apparently, the Limeys do not recognize the contraction for there would! No biggie, really. I just thought I’d throw that out there. Depending on who you listen to, yams and sweet potatoes are different root vegetables, or they’re the same thing. I know some people call sweet potatoes sweet yams, so maybe that’s why many think they’re the same. But other sources say that yams are starchier, like a regular potato, and not as sweet as the sweet potato. Also, yams are kinda found world wide, while sweet potatoes are a New World root vegetable. But this still made for a great Jumble pun!
No new clue words today. However, all of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me. I spaced a bit on “gania” and tried to make angina! Ran out of squares, and had to reassess. The answer letter layout was a nifty nine letter jumble. Very nicely cryptic. The cartoon, and clue/question just screamed out YAMMERING to me!
Cute cartoon of the produce pickers, and the talkin’ taters! Jeff has done Cesar Chavez proud. No, wait. These are probably folks who work in the produce section of the supermarket. I think that the lady is setting up onions! Either way, it’s a fun cartoon, and a fun Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
