It is my understanding that she is speaking of dangerous people, eg abusers, who make a great show of woefully apologizing and insisting they will never do it again – they have shown you who they are, believe it!
I’d buy that, Mark! I wouldn’t be surprised if this Cryptoquote was part of a larger quote/conversation. Very often we’re just given some of a quote, and it lacks the proper context. Thank you, very much! — YUR
