(I remember being like five years old, and thinking that Walt Disney was the greatest man in the whole wide world! “The Wonderful World of Disney” was on every Sunday night at my house. It came on right after “Lassie”. The closing theme music to “Lassie” always got me a little choked up, but then the Disney theme music would cheer me right back up. Aah! A shared memory! How nice, Joy. I remember when my cousins from California came for a visit back then, and they couldn’t believe we weren’t watching “The Jetsons”. I guess it was on opposite either “Lassie” or “The Wonderful World of Disney”. I do love “The Jetsons”, but back then there was only one (maybe two) TV(s) in the house, and parents were in charge of what was watched! Things have really changed since then. And, not always for the better.
