“That is one good thing about this world – there are always sure to be more springs.” —Lucy Maud Montgomery
(I don’t think we’ve seen anything from the author of “Anne of Green Gables” in quite some time. When you’re a Canadian you probably really appreciate spring. Everyone loves new beginnings, and that’s what each spring brings to us. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Happy birthday to Lee Oskar of War! (Another favorite of mine, from my youth.)
Clue/Question: Everyone was ready. The baptism ceremony was going to start – – –
Answer: “RITE“ ON TIME
(And, what is done . . . cannot be undone! Well, not really. If you really wanted to you can always renounce what you had absolutely no choice in. But of course, that means renouncing the religion that your parents/family have indoctrinated you into. Depending upon how thorough the indoctrination was usually determines whether you can choose another path. But the vast majority of us don’t want to buck tradition. Most of us are just looking to maintain peace in the palace! It’s socially accepted hypocrisy.
Now that I’ve pissed off 3/4 of you readers, I will tell you that there are no new clue words today. However, all of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me. No real toughies though. The answer letter layout was a terrific ten letter jumble. By itself, there was nothing obvious about it. All the cartoon’s dialog, the clue/question, and the quotation marks in the final answer slots made for an immediate solve, for me.
Great cartoon of a baptismal scene. Mom and Dad look sufficiently proud. I’ve attended a good number of baptisms, including my own two children. Yes, I too am a hypocrite. Most of them are pretty similar. Accept for those serious Baptists! I like those ones where they actually take you into a river, and completely dunk you. Now that’s the real deal! LOL! Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
