(This must be a line from one of his stories! I just read that Carroll – supposedly – “was not on drugs”, but then it goes on to say that he may have taken Laudanum, which is a funky combination of alcohol and opium! To me, it doesn’t matter whether it was “legal” in those days, both are still considered drugs! Some of the things that he came up with suggest some kind of altered state, in my opinion.
