Jumble Spoiler – 03/16/22

Clue/Question:  They knew to stay away from the rim of the canyon because they had – – –

Answer:  PRIOR KNOWLEDGE

(I got the answer alright, but not the joke!  Wait a minute.  The ledge in “knowledge”?  Is that it?  Why didn’t they just throw in a hyphen between the W and L?  That would’ve made for bigger yuks, in my book.  They had me Googling alternative definitions for PRIOR, fer chrissakes!

As expected, no new clue words today.  However, every one of the jumbles did come up as new, for me.  No real head scratchers though.  But the answer letter layout was a ferocious fourteen letter jumble!  Nicely cryptic.  But KNOWLEDGE did kinda jump out at me.

Another great Grand Canyon cartoon.  If I ever get to the Grand Canyon I’ll probably relegate myself to one of the safer, touristy observation areas.  It depends who I’m with, I suppose.  I liked the microscopic hikers working their way down the Canyon.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
