Sunday Cryptoquote Spoiled! – 03/13/21

However... WORLD'S FOREMOST AUTHORITY Irwin Corey Dies @ 102 - Boy Culture : Covering Hot Men, Gay Issues, Celebrities, Movies, Music & More

Some geniuses at The Journal News, a Gannett newspaper, decided to omit/remove the Sunday Cryptoquote from this week’s edition.  They squished the Sunday Jumble until it’s barely legible, and added something called Boggle Brainbusters, but NO Cryptoquote!    Possibly this was just an oversight, as this is the very first week where they’ve halted delivery of a Saturday paper, and are trying to squeeze a little more into the Sunday edition, but they still found room for the Sudoku!

If this irks you as much as it does me please voice your displeasure – and ask them to reinstate the Sunday Cryptoquote – to the following:

Can they do that? That’s such a screwed-up thing to do. And of course, without warning. I’m gonna email them.

They sent a letter to the subscribers informing them that they were discontinuing Saturday delivery, but there was NO mention of discontinuing any content from the Sunday paper. The kicker to the letter was that they tried to frame the whole thing as a POSITIVE! Like it was to all of our benefits to pay for 7 day a week subscription, and only get 6 days of newspapers. Saturday’s paper is available as an e-edition, but it’s just not the same as actually receiving the physical newspaper.

    Thanks, Wes!

    Unc,

This is what happens when national conglomerants by up popular local establishments all over the country. Afterwhich, they no longer report on or cater to the interests that have become popular to the locals in those communities.

If you’ve noticed, the same has been happening to housing. Rather than building homes as has been for more than a century, their buying up single unit homes and replacing them with cookie-cutter apartments.

If ou’ve already had your home for years, you may not have noticied.
