Answer: HOT DIGGITY DOG
(After a long afternoon of mowing my lawn, on a hot summer’s day, my dogs will be barkin’! I’m tellin’ ya, folks. They be seekin’ some cool relief! Many a time I’ve been tempted to jump right into my neighbor’s pool on such a day. And, I’ve been invited to use his pool numerous times, but I don’t think he’d like it that much if I went in, clothes and all. Most people don’t want someone all sweaty, in grass covered sneakers, jumping into their pristine pools. But, that’s when I want it most! Once I take my shower the urge to use his pool passes. But if I were a dog . . .
All classic clue words today. I do believe it’s been quite some time since we’ve seen “toddle”. It’s a word that isn’t used nearly as often as that of the young child who happens to walk that way. Since slamming my head on my driveway, a year or so ago, I tend to toddle when there’s the distinct possibility of black ice underfoot. Self-preservation, baby! Three of today’s jumbles are coming up as new, for me. But it seems we’ve definitely seen “myhet” before. A very impressive thirteen letter answer letter layout. It made for a grandiose cryptic jumble. The final answer was only immediately obvious to me because yer Uncle happens to think like a dog.
It looks like Snoopy’s dirty little paws are going to be polluting the neighbor’s pool! Ah, such is life. But it’s his owner who will be feeling the neighbor’s wrath. And, ya can’t stay mad at a dog for long anyway! Is this some kind of Peanuts retirement community? If so, I hope the pool doesn’t belong to Lucy. She can be such a little bi . . . Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
