Visual Description: Below street level.
RUGDO = GOURD, NSYUN = SUNNY, CTNIEE = ENTICE, DIRLAA = RADIAL — Giving us: GUDSNNNTERDIA
Clue/Question: The subway was running late, and not everyone was – – –
Answer: UNDERSTANDING
(Yes, but they were STANDING UNDER the street level, waiting on the subway platform. Which these days – in NYC at least – can be a very dicey situation. It seems like at least once a week there’s a story, on the news, of either someone who passed out and fell onto the tracks, or some deranged person pushing someone onto the tracks. Occasionally, with very dire consequences. And unfortunately, the pushings seem to be more prevalent than the passing out/fallings. There is a severe mental health crisis in NYC, and around the country, as we’re seeing so many tragic, desperate acts on an almost a daily basis. There do not seem to be enough mental health professionals out there, and too few ailing souls have access to the ones that are out there. The government and the media like to chalk most of it up to “hate crimes”. But better-to-well adjusted people don’t allow their biases to lead them to these acts of violence. There are even good arguments that say hate itself is a kind of mental illness. Our country, and much of the entire world, is under a lot of stress these days. Most of us seem to find a way to cope with it, but far too many simply can’t. Mental health care needs to be a priority. After all, don’t we all need a little help from time to time?
All of today’s clue words were familiar old friends. Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, but we’ve definitely seen “rugdo” before. It took me a few looks to unscramble “dirlaa”. The answer letter layout was another thrilling thirteen letter jumble. It was wonderfully cryptic, but I – somehow – got the final answer immediately.
Great cartoon of people waiting on what looks to be an NYC subway platform, and the tracks and tunnels. Nice stairs leading to the next – possibly street – level. I can almost make out some human figures at the top of the stairs. Be well and do good, friends. If you’re not mentally well, I hope you can get the necessary help you need. Peace.) — YUR

It seems that nowadays mental health takes on a lot of relevance due to the cases that have been presented that threaten the safety of people. At least in Chile, the health authorities have a campaign so that people who suffer from it can access psychologists and primary care centers free of charge. The photos speak volumes for what you describe in the note. Good weekend Yur.
Thank you, Mac! The U.S. is lagging Chile in this regard. Good weekend to you too, sir! — YUR
You are welcome
UR,
Good comments today*
By the wayword…On this SUNNY day I was ENTICEd by a GOURD like object that sadly resembled Alec baldwin¿¿? It was spewing, in RADIAL directions, all sorts of made-up trite…….Alec, if you point a gun at someone, pull the trigger back, and let it go, deadly things may and do happen…Dahhh!!!!…No Emmy…
I forgot the lady’s name but may peace come to her family and friends☆
Lattttter…….k
PS So sad what’s happening in my second city, NYC
Thanks, Ken! Nice to hear from you. Alec’s account does sound fantastic, but he said he pulled the *hammer* back – as told – just shy of cocking it, and was told that was enough, and released it, causing it to fire. That can happen, and he should have known better. Saying he *didn’t pull the trigger* is a kind of semantics, in my mind. And, of course there shouldn’t have been a live round in the gun, so that *might* explain why he felt releasing the hammer was “safe” to do.
The woman’s name was Halyna Hutchins. — YUR
UR,
Thx…To show you how emotions effect proper thinking… (For me anyway)
…….I actually ment to say “hammer” instead of “trigger” but being upset with the Baldwin interview, the thought of him pulling the trigger was already on/in my thoughts, as if I had already found him guilty before trial (if there is one??¿)
If this goes to Cival Court, regardless of the outcome$$$, this will be a rather painful experience for the Hutchins family…May Serenity rein!!^
Sooooooo long…….k
I suspect the vast majority of the American population has no understanding of the proper “care and feeding” of, or the necessary respect for, firearms.
Never assume a firearm is unloaded before, handing it to, or receiving it from, anyone.
