Clue/Question: Would the author be reading from her novel at the library? Yes, according to the – – –
Answer: TELLTALE SIGN
(An excellent – literate – pun! And, an unofficial extension – of sorts – on the Guest Jumblers week? Terri Libenson is a best-selling children’s book writer and award winning cartoonist of a comic strip that ran for fourteen years, called The Pajama Diaries. Sadly, I never saw the comic strip, as my newspaper did not carry it. But it must have been good if she won awards for it.
All of today’s clue words are already in the library known as the ralis95 clue word database! However, all of the jumbles did come up as new. I got them all pretty quickly though. The answer letter layout was a terrific twelve letter jumble. Thanks to the end of the clue/question, and the final answer slots, I was able to quickly come up with SIGN. From the letters LALTLEET the word TELLTALE was eventually . . . revealed.
Great cartoon of an author’s reading at a library. It looks like it’s being attended by middle-to-high school girls. I’m guessing that must be her target audience. Perhaps Ms. Libenson is a friend of one, or both, of our Jumble pals. Maybe, because she no longer writes The Pajama Diaries she didn’t technically qualify for the Guest Jumbler’s week. But now she’s been immortalized in her very own Jumble! Even better, right? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
