Clue/Question: Early navigators benefited from good equipment. The compass is – – –
Answer: A CASE IN POINT
(Avast, ye swabbies! A salty pun, indeed! Compasses made sailing under overcast conditions – when you can’t see the sun, or the stars – much easier. As long as you know which way is north, then you’ll know where you are, and which way you want to proceed. Get the point?! In any case, it made for a fun Friday Jumble!
All of today’s clue words are already on board with ralis95. Three of the jumbles have come up as new, but we’ve definitely seen “taaeb” sometime before. None of them stumped me this morning. The answer letter layout was another twisty twelve letter jumble! I don’t think it gave anything away.
I always enjoy the nautical cartoons, or any cartoon that takes place near the water. I’m not sure if these characters are pirates, but there is a sinking sail ship on the horizon. It’s possible that these guys had something to do with that. Lots of fun. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
