“Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” —Mark Twain
(So be kind, folks! Just like the old expression about catching more flies with honey, than with vinegar. It just gets better results. Besides . . . mean people suck! Another one of today’s coincidences; as I was getting ready to write this post something from OperationKindness popped up on my Facebook feed! Apparently, November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month! So, if you need a little company consider adopting a dog or cat that is five years old, or older. They are ready made for loving! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Clue/Question: Getting presents was great, but what she loved most was everyone’s – – –
Answer: PRESENCE
(Right as I was solving today’s Jumble, some woman on “Third Hour Today” said something about making your presence your present! Must be some kind of kismet! Also, they had a segment on a lady who wrote a children’s book about the little owl that was rescued from last year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. And, as I glance up at my Boys Town November 2021 calendar, I see a very similar looking owl, in a very similar looking tree! Life’s coincidences are always intriguing.
All of today’s clue words are residents of the ralis95 clue word database. Three of the jumbles appear to be new. However, we’ve definitely seen “ruusen” in at least one earlier Jumble. The answer letter layout was a great eight letter jumble. Very nicely jumbled. I think the cartoon’s dialog might have been the biggest clue, for me.
Cute cartoon of a multi-generational family get together. I’m guessing that the balding gent, in glasses, is the celebrant’s son. Glad to see that Grammy’s sister is still kickin’ too! Not sure what the one grandson is giving his Grammy, but at least it’s wrapped. The cake says “Happy Birthday Mom”. Boy though. Trying to get my Mom to wear one of those little birthday hats would have taken an act of Congress! Glad this ol’ girl is a sport! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Happy Birthday to Chris Difford, of Squeeze! (One of my favorite early ’80s bands!)
