(Too many Buffalo wings, pigs-in-blankets, pizza and cheese doodles will do that to you!  Jeff’s team – the U. of Michigan Wolverines – are off to a great start . . . for a change.  They haven’t played anyone ranked yet, but that is coming.  They get a bye this week.  Then a beatable Northwestern.  But after that they have to play their cross state rival, the Michigan State Spartans, who are also off to a great start.  That’s almost always a super tough game, and it’s in East Lansing, so they’ll be the visitors.  I’m a Penn State fan, and they lost their first game, after losing their starting quarterback!  Fortunately, they have a bye this weekend too.  Big Ten football is always entertaining!

No new clue words today.  But once again, all of today’s jumbles have come up as new.  Nothing stumped me though.  The answer letter layout was an excellent eleven letter jumble.  I thought it was beautifully cryptic.  For me, the big clue was in the clue/question.

Fun cartoon.  The television lets you know that this game hasn’t happened yet.  So, the answer to the Question, that I started with in the Visual Description may, or may not, be accurate.  For Jeff’s sake let’s hope it’s just a tummy ache.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
