(Set ’em up. Knock ’em down! Set ’em up. Knock ’em down! Bowlin’, bowlin’, bowlin. Keep them Jumblers rollin’. Keep them Jumblers rollin’ . . . Naugahyde! Been quite a while since we’ve seen David L. Hoyt in a Jumble cartoon. Let alone him AND Jeff Knurek. More often we see just Jeff, or Jeff and one or more of his family members. It’s nice to see ol’ chrome dome again! Hey, maybe David could audition for the part of Blofeld, in the next Bond film! LOL! I hope he’s not allergic to cats!
Monsieur Hoyt chose to use all well-seasoned clue words for this Jumble. However, he was very careful to craft all original jumbles this day. None of them stumped yer uncle though. His answer letter layout was an elegant eleven letter jumble. I found it suitably cryptic. I think the clue/question’s leading nature, and the final answer slots were the big clues.
Great cartoon of Jeff and David – and company – at a bowling alley. Maybe one of the boys will chime in and reveal the identity of the other two teammates. Bowling is a lot of fun.
