Clue/Question: When the architect asked them if they wanted oak floors, they said they – – –
Answer: “WOOD“ LOVE IT
(And, why “wood”n’t they? Hardwood floors have been very poplar for a number of years. They certainly look spruce and spiffy! I suppose they might even be ash-light bit cooler in the summer months. But, it seems like wall-to-wall carpeting might keep the house somewhat cherry-er in the winter months. That’s my cri-teak at least. Anyone have any other chestnut to add?
None of today’s clue words were missing from the ralis95 clue word database. All four jumbles were coming up as new for me though. All decently challenging. The answer letter layout was a polished ten letter jumble. A fine-grained jumble, indeed. Of coarse the quotation marks cured me, and clued me, into WOOD. I’m not that dense.
Fine cartoon of a couple working with the architect, who’s laid out the blueprints/schematics. Great Friday Jumble! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Happy birthday to Alison Krauss!

Our house was OVERDUE for a refurbishing, especially the flooring…ODDLY my wife was WILDLY excited about getting Bocote wood for the project…She previously was all-in on high end tile flooring….It was VITAL to me that this would last for many years to come…The over priced Bocote wood would (Ha) pay for itself if/when the house was sold…The rest of the family and friends agreed that my wife “WOOD”
LOVE IT”…”Hey Mary Lou, what you doing with that hammer??¿”…Oh Oh Duck all…….Ouch**₩
“If I had a hammer, I’d…….” Latttttter…….k
Thank you for introducing me to Bocote wood, Ken! I’d never heard of it before. — YUR

Same here, Unc.
Now, I know that it’s used in some musical instruments like guitars and drums.
Who knew ?
