“The one sure way to conciliate a tiger is to allow oneself to be devoured.” —Konrad Adnenauer
(I’m sure that works out very well . . . for the tiger. I was thinking “conciliate”, but I’d already used the C! Then, I realized my Kraut heritage, and change Conrad to Konrad. That freed up the C! Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR

Happy birthday to Wally Bryson, of The Raspberries! (Good ’70s tune. Emulating The Beatles . . . with a little help from George Harrison.)
Clue/Question: The huge oak was being planted and would provide plenty of shade without – – –
Pre-Answer: Five Words (1-letter) (6-letters) (2-letters) (1-letter) (5-letters)
Answer: A SHADOW OF A DOUBT
(Easiest Sunday Jumble in quite a long time. The cartoon’s dialog, and the clue/question just made the final answer so apparent. All the clue words are well used. Five of the jumbles came up as new, for me. The only one I’ve definitely seen is “sedodt”. The answer letter layout was an impressive fifteen letter jumble though. Without all of the setup this might have been a difficult solve. That’s a fairly large tree. Definitely not a sapling. A tree that size is likely pretty expensive. Hopefully the roots don’t destroy her patio! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
